Ilmenite, Beach Placer, Vanadium-titanium Magnetite

 

Ilmenite is iron oxide mineral and titanium oxide mineral, also called titanium magnetite, its crystal generally is plate shape, while crystals gather together, it is lump shape or granule shape. Its ingredient is FeTiO3. Ilmenite often acts as accessory mineral, scatters in magnetite in the basic or ultrabasic rock and is flake shape, symbiosis with enstatite and plagioclase, etc.
